HISP is a non-profit organization that has run on parent donations since its founding 40 years ago. With the suggested annual donation of $100 per HISP student, we do the following every year:
1. Send students on field trips (Note: this is by far our largest expense. Costs for buses to out-of-town trips are up 300% just in the past few years!)
2. Invite speakers and performers to our school
3. Purchase textbooks, novels, and materials for the classroom
4. License turnitin.com for each student (checking for plagiarism and AI-generated content)
5. Provide T-shirts to the Freshman class
6. Run many community activities and events, such as:
a. HISP Night of Welcome (NOW)
b. Humanities Events Workshop Day
c. HISP Barbecue to celebrate our Seniors
